Here's a list of things you may want to do - they're not necessarily compassionate, but they're appreciated nonetheless.
* Write letters to everyone who has made a difference in your life: let them know exactly how, thank them, and mail them in.
* Remind those people you love them. There is no such thing as "too much love".
* Think of all the things you take for granted, that others don't have.
* Buy a piece of art from a struggling artist.
* Have an actual conversation with a stranger. Ask them questions about their lives and opinions. (But always remember - stranger danger and whatnot.)
* Make dinner for your family/friends. On the same night.
* Donate in every way you possibly can, even if it's just your time. (I'm sorry for being cheesy.)
* Send someone flowers.
* Send yourself flowers.
* Spend a day with yourself.
* Get to know someone you wouldn't usually talk to - people can surprise you.
* Write an anonymous letter to a stranger.
* Operation Beautiful notes in library books!
